Rigging renovation

One of our principal activities is the restoration of riggings to prevent unexpected breaks.

It applies to masts that are more than 10-12 years old.

The work consists of dismantling the mast and taking it to the workshop. Once in the workshop, elements such as the standing rigging, the working rigging (if applicable), the electrical wiring, lights, sheaves and all the components that may have degraded over the years in the open air and the marine environment are checked.

When there is clearly visible corrosion, especially in the steel/aluminium contact, the action is extended to dismantling the fittings, repairing and cleaning the parts affected by corrosion, insulating the stainless steel parts and reassembling them using more suitable materials such as monel rivets.

Finally, the mast is reassembled on the boat, the trim is done and you can sail in complete safety.
